CODIR TAA received by the Minister of Vocational Training and Employment

A delegation from the Tunisian Automotive Association “TAA” was received on August 26, 2022 by the Minister of Vocational Training and Employment, Mr. Nasreddine Nsibi, to discuss the project to create a Continuing Vocational Training Academy for the automotive sector.

A presentation of the project was made by explaining that this training program for the automotive sector launched since 2019 within the framework of the project “Partnerships for employment and promotion of medium-sized enterprises in Tunisia” is a project implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH under the mandate of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through the Special Initiative Training and Employment – “Investing for Employment”.

This training program is part of the actions agreed under the Competitiveness Pact for the automotive sector signed between the Tunisian government and the private sector. It is implemented in close collaboration with the Tunisian Ministry of Industry, Mines and Energy (MIME), the TAA and the German professional training organization BBW e.V. (“Bildungswerk der Bayerischen Wirtschaft”).

The Minister salutes the role of the private sector in promoting the national vocational training system, which, according to him, is characterized by its quality and efficiency, noting the importance of the automotive sector as a catalyst for the development of national economy and job generator
He also specified that the government is working to promote an adequate climate to encourage investment with high employability and high added value, adding that the study of files for the creation or creation of private vocational training structures is carried out by the services concerned as soon as possible.
