Automotive supplier DRÄXLMAIER Tunisia won the Best CSR Action 2023 award on Wednesday, May 24, 2023. The award was presented to the company during a ceremony held alongside the second edition of the International CSR Forum, which took place in Hammamet on May 24 and 25. This forum honors Tunisian companies that have excelled in their CSR initiatives.
The Best CSR Action 2023 for sustainable innovation was awarded to the DRÄXLMAIER Group for their revolutionary initiative of implementing the first solar-powered bus stop nationwide in the city of Jemmal, located in the governorate of Monastir, where their most modern factory is situated.
The bus stop, equipped with its own solar systems to generate sustainable energy, provides citizens with a resting place while waiting for the buses, as well as a means to recharge their smartphones through the available USB ports in the seats. The solar system also powers integrated LED lights to automatically illuminate the bus stop at night. This initiative perfectly embodies the Group’s vision of creating a more environmentally friendly and socially responsible future.
In addition to the forum, DRÄXLMAIER Tunisia also received a second trophy for their commitment to implementing CSR practices. This recognition applauds the Group’s continuous efforts to promote sustainable development and exemplary environmental responsibility.
