The highly anticipated IAA Mobility event will be held from 05 to 10 September 2023 in Munich and this year’s edition promises a day dedicated to the African automotive industry.
The Tunisian industrial sector will be represented by Ms. Myriam ELLOUMI, Vice-President of the Tunisian Automotive Association during a distinguished panel that will represent key African countries, including Tunisia, South Africa, Ghana, Kenya and Egypt.
During this roundtable, participants will shed light on the various activities and initiatives taking place in their respective countries and regions. In addition, they will discuss the potential for diversification of value chains and raw material processing in Africa, exploring how these strategies can benefit the automotive industry on the continent.
The event boasts an impressive lineup of speakers, including Hildegard Müller, President of the VDA, who will deliver the welcome remarks. Martina Biene, Chairperson and Managing Director of the Board of Volkswagen Group South Africa, will provide a keynote address. The panel discussion will feature Themba Khumalo, Value Chains Development Advisor for the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat (AfCFTA), as well as prominent figures from various African nations, such as Mr. Mikel Mabasa (South Africa), Mr. Jeffrey Peprah (Ghana), Dr. Juma Mukhwana (Kenya), and H.E. Ahmed Samir Saleh (Egypt).
Following the panel discussion, Dave Coffey, CEO of the African Association of Automotive Manufacturers (AAAM), will deliver closing remarks. The event will culminate in a networking reception, offering attendees a valuable opportunity to connect and collaborate.
